An international friendship art workshop and seminar titled Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam will be organized from September 17 to 20, 2025, at Rampas School, Rapti Nagar near Shahpur Police Station in Gorakhpur. The event is being jointly hosted by Nyas Lalita, Gorakhpur—dedicated to folk, fine, and performing arts and culture—and the State Lalit Kala Academy, Uttar Pradesh.

More than 50 artists from India and abroad, including both senior and emerging talents, are expected to participate in this prestigious event. The workshop will be inaugurated on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Rampas School, Rapti Nagar.

The information was shared on Monday during a press launch and conference by Dr. Bharat Bhushan, former Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, and Dr. Sudipta B. Bhushan, Principal of Arya Kanya Inter College and General Secretary of the organizing committee.

Representatives from countries such as Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia, along with artists from across India, will participate in the event.

The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Prof. Poonam Tandon, Vice-Chancellor of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University; Ramesh Ji, Provincial Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh; senior volunteer Jagdish Gupta; Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, Mayor of Gorakhpur; Dr. Sunil Kumar Vishwakarma, renowned painter and Chairman of the State Lalit Kala Academy, Uttar Pradesh; Mr. Girish Chandra Mishra, Vice-Chairman of the Academy; and celebrated Hindi literary figure Prof. Ramdev Shukla, among others.

The workshop will focus on creating artworks around the theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the idea of the world as one family—and will also include a seminar discussing how to foster a familial environment globally based on the Sanatan philosophy. Artists will express this theme through diverse art forms and creative expressions.

Participants from Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Mauritius, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the broader Purvanchal region are expected to join. A total of around 50 national and international artists will engage in this workshop.
