Assam Contributes ₹5 Crore to Himachal’s Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund

In view of the devastation caused by heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, the Assam government has contributed ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Pramod Fukan, Assam’s Minister for Energy, Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, presented a cheque of ₹5 crore to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today in New Delhi. The contribution is aimed at supporting families affected by the disaster during the ongoing monsoon.

Additionally, Rahul Bagga, Senior Manager (Legal & Corporate Affairs and Lead India Growth) at Hindustan Unilever Limited, also donated ₹50 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in New Delhi.

Expressing his gratitude for these generous contributions, Chief Minister Sukhu thanked the Assam government and Mr. Bagga, stating, “It is heartening to see various state governments, civil society organizations, and individuals extend their support to the relief fund. Such contributions will go a long way in providing timely assistance to the families affected by this calamity.”
