PM Modi to Visit Flood-Affected Kangra and Gurdaspur on Tuesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the flood-affected regions of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab on Tuesday to review the ongoing situation and relief efforts.

He will conduct an aerial survey of the flood and landslide-hit areas in both states.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), he is scheduled to reach Kangra around 1:30 PM, where he will meet with officials and chair a high-level review meeting to assess the situation.

During his visit to Kangra, the Prime Minister will interact with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Disaster Mitra volunteers, as well as flood-affected residents.

In the afternoon, around 3 PM, he will carry out an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas in Punjab.

Later, at approximately 4:15 PM, he will reach Gurdaspur, where he will hold discussions with senior officials and preside over a review meeting to assess ground conditions.

In Gurdaspur, the Prime Minister will also meet with flood-affected individuals along with NDRF, SDRF, and Disaster Mitra teams.

The PMO stated that the Prime Minister’s on-ground review is aimed at closely monitoring relief and rehabilitation efforts and providing much-needed support to the people of both states during this challenging time.
