The weather in Himachal Pradesh has finally taken a pleasant turn
After days of continuous heavy to very heavy rainfall that prompted red and orange alerts, the Meteorological Department has now issued only a yellow alert for light showers in a few districts over the next two days.
This shift signals a welcome relief, suggesting that the worst of the monsoon may be over. No weather alerts have been issued beyond September 10, further indicating that conditions are expected to remain stable.
However, challenges remain: around 1,200 roads and 1,800 power distribution transformers are still disrupted. With no forecast of heavy rain in the coming days, authorities are stepping up efforts to restore road connectivity and power infrastructure across the state.
