Shimla: On the night of Sunday, September 7, 2025 (Bhadrapada Purnima), the year’s second lunar eclipse will occur. According to Pt. Shashi Pal Dogra, President of Vashisth Jyotish Sadan and numerologist, this will be the first and only lunar eclipse of the year visible in India. The day also marks the beginning of Pitru Paksha, which, he warned, could bring global and national upheaval—political turbulence, earthquakes, conflict, natural calamities, and even fire incidents. “Leaders may lose restraint over their words,” he added.

Eclipse Timing & Sutak

This eclipse will occur in Aquarius sign and Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra, appearing as a striking Blood Moon.
