All Educational Institutions in Solan and Sirmaur to Remain Closed on Monday
Following a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, all private and government educational institutions in Solan and Sirmaur districts will remain closed on Monday, September 1.
According to orders issued by the Deputy Commissioners of both districts under Sections 30 and 34(M) of the Disaster Management Act, all Anganwadi centres and vocational institutions will also remain shut.
The directive notes that continuous heavy rainfall has triggered landslides and disrupted daily life in several parts of the districts, putting the safety of students, especially in rural and hilly areas, at risk.
While classes will remain suspended, teaching and administrative staff have been instructed to report to their respective institutions and carry out essential duties as required.
