Educational Institutions to Remain Closed in Sirmaur on Saturday Due to Heavy Rainfall
In view of the ongoing spell of heavy rainfall, all educational institutions in Sirmaur district will remain closed on Saturday, August 30.

According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma under Section 30 of the Disaster Management Act, all Anganwadi centres and vocational institutions will also remain shut as a precautionary measure.
The directive comes after warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall and the potential risk to life and property. The district administration noted that continuous downpours have triggered landslides and disrupted normal life, creating unsafe conditions for students, particularly those travelling from rural and hilly areas.
While classes and activities will remain suspended for the day, the order clarifies that teachers and administrative staff are required to report for duty.
