The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday issued a notification announcing the transfer and posting of five IPS officers. The Governor approved the reshuffle on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board, according to an order issued by the Home Department.

As per the notification, 2006-batch IPS officer Rani Bindu Sachdeva, who recently returned from central deputation and was awaiting posting, has been appointed Inspector General (Crime), Shimla. Meanwhile, 2008-batch IPS officer Dr. D.K. Chaudhary, who was serving as DIG (Crime), Shimla, has been posted as Principal, Police Training College, Daroh, Kangra district.

Soumya Sambashivan, a 2010-batch IPS officer who was handling additional charge as DIG (Central Range) Mandi, Principal of the Police Training College Daroh, and IGP (Northern Range) Dharamshala, will now officially take over as DIG (Northern Range), Dharamshala.

Another 2010-batch officer, Rahul Nath, earlier serving as DIG, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Shimla, has been appointed DIG (Central Range), Mandi.

In addition, 2017-batch IPS officer Arvind Chaudhary, who was serving as SP at the Police Training College, Daroh, has been posted as SP (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarters, Shimla.

The order specifies that the officers will assume charge of their new postings after the ongoing Assembly session concludes.
