New Delhi – In a significant move for the youth of Himachal Pradesh, Shrey Awasthi, State Coordinator of the Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation, met Union Minister of State for MSME, Employment & Labour, Smt. Shobha Karandlaje in New Delhi today.
During the meeting, Shrey Awasthi highlighted the rising unemployment rate in Himachal Pradesh and placed a strong demand for a special employment policy dedicated to Himachali youth. He emphasized that while metros like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru offer countless career and entrepreneurial opportunities, the youth of Himachal are often forced to migrate outside the state in search of jobs.
“Himachal’s young generation is full of talent and potential, but due to lack of opportunities they are compelled to leave their land. The Centre must ensure a special policy that provides equal opportunities within the state itself,” Awasthi stated.
On this occasion, Shrey Awasthi also presented his authored book “Himachal’s Youth Beyond Govt Jobs” along with the symbolic Himachali cap to the Union Minister. The gesture represented the aspirations, culture, and spirit of the state’s youth.
The meeting is being seen as a milestone step towards shaping youth-centric policies and ensuring that Himachal’s energetic workforce contributes to the nation’s growth while staying rooted in their homeland.
