BJP Announces New State Team in Himachal: 8 Vice Presidents and 8 Secretaries Appointed
Shimla, August 20 – Himachal Pradesh BJP president Dr. Rajeev Bindal on Wednesday unveiled his new executive committee through an official notification. The list covers appointments ranging from vice presidents, secretaries, and general secretaries to media roles and the heads of various party wings. The new team is seen as a strategic step to strengthen the organization in the state and accelerate preparations for upcoming elections.
Eight Vice Presidents and Eight Secretaries Named
The new committee includes eight vice presidents and eight secretaries. Those named as vice presidents are Bihari Lal Sharma, Rashmi Dhar Sood, Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj, Vipin Singh Parmar, Pawan Kajal, Vinod Kumar, Rajesh Thakur, and Balbir Verma.
Dr. Sikandar Kumar, Sanjeev Katwal, and Payal Vaidya have been appointed as general secretaries. The eight secretaries include Sumit Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Thakur, Vandana Yogi, Priyanta Sharma, Kusum Sadret, Tilak Raj Sharma, Amit Thakur, and Shishu Dharma.
Kamaljeet Sood has been given charge as state treasurer, while Pramod Thakur will serve as office secretary.
Media Team Retains Key Faces
Dr. Bindal has once again reposed faith in the existing media setup. Randhir Sharma has been named media in-charge, while Rakesh Jamwal will continue as chief spokesperson. Karn Nanda has been appointed media coordinator.
In the social media wing, Sushil Rathore has been named convener and Kamal Thakur co-convener. The IT cell will be headed by Anil Dadwal as convener with Praveen Thakur as co-convener.
Leadership Across Party Fronts Announced
Sunny Shukla has been appointed state president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, while Dr. Dezi Thakur will head the Mahila Morcha. Sanjeev Drishta has been given charge of the Kisan Morcha. Munish Chauhan will lead the Scheduled Caste Morcha, while Ramlok Dhanotiya has been appointed president of the OBC Morcha. Sunil Negi will head the Scheduled Tribe Morcha and Sardar Gurmeet Singh has been named president of the Minority Morcha.
Karn Nanda Expresses Gratitude
Newly appointed media coordinator Karn Nanda expressed gratitude to the party leadership, extending thanks to BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, national vice president Saudan Singh, state in-charge Shrikant Sharma, co-incharge Sanjay Tandon, state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal, organization general secretary Siddharthan, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, former CM Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, veteran leader Shanta Kumar, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, former state president Suresh Kashyap, and Satpal Satti.
Nanda said he would fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him with dedication and sincerity, working to further strengthen the party organization in the state.
