Flaws in Pathankot–Mandi Four-Lane Construction: Villagers Submit Memorandum to DC
While handing over the memorandum
Mandi, August 12 – A delegation of villagers met the Deputy Commissioner of Mandi today to raise concerns over flaws in the construction of the Pathankot–Mandi four-lane highway from Padhar to Mandi. The delegation, led by Shubham Sharma, head of Gram Panchayat Tandu, submitted a memorandum detailing their grievances.
The villagers informed the DC that several irregularities were taking place in the highway’s construction. They pointed out that certain culverts had been built in a way that posed a risk to nearby houses and farmland. In addition, multiple link roads had been closed due to the ongoing work, causing severe inconvenience to local residents.
The delegation urged the DC to take prompt action on the matter. Shubham Sharma said the DC assured them of swift intervention and promised to visit the site with officials to review the situation firsthand.
