Solan, July 21:
Continuous rainfall since last night has severely impacted daily life across Solan district. Several link roads have been blocked due to landslides and fallen trees, disrupting traffic movement. While traffic on National Highway-5 remains unaffected, the condition of internal routes remains a cause for concern.

One such affected route is the Wakanaghat–Subathu road, where multiple large trees have fallen, completely blocking the way. Local residents and commuters are facing major inconvenience, especially school-going children and office-bound employees.

Public Works Department (PWD) teams have reached the site and are working at full pace to restore the road. Heavy machinery is being deployed to clear debris and remove trees from affected sections.

The administration has urged people to avoid using this route unless absolutely necessary and to step out only after checking weather updates.
