MP Suresh Kashyap Sends 800 Blankets to Mandi, Reaffirms Government’s Support for Disaster-Hit Families

Shimla, July 8:
In a strong show of solidarity with families affected by recent heavy rains and natural disasters, BJP MP from Shimla parliamentary constituency, Suresh Kashyap, dispatched 800 blankets from Sirmaur district to the disaster-affected areas of Mandi. Speaking on the occasion, Kashyap emphasized that the entire state stands united with the people of Mandi during this difficult time.

He stated that BJP’s organizational units across the state are actively preparing and delivering relief kits, including food supplies and kitchen essentials, for those impacted. So far, the party has sent over 5,000 ration kits and more than 1,000 utensil kits to Mandi.

Kashyap highlighted that BJP leaders have been consistently working on the ground. Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur has been in Mandi since day one, visiting affected families personally. State BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal also spent three consecutive days in the disaster-hit areas, and MP Kangana Ranaut met victims during her recent visit to assess their situation.

He added that multiple BJP teams have been deployed across affected constituencies:

• In Seraj, Dr. Rajeev Bindal was joined by senior leaders including former minister Govind Thakur, MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, former MLA Rajesh Thakur, and BJP secretaries Dr. Sanjay Thakur and Sumit Sharma.

• In Nachan, the relief efforts were led by senior BJP leader and MLA Randhir Sharma, along with MLAs Rakesh Jamwal and Trilok Jamwal.

• In Karsog, former minister Suresh Bhardwaj, BJP General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma, party spokesperson and MLA Balbir Verma, and MLA Lokendra Kumar played key roles.

Kashyap affirmed that BJP has ensured that relief materials are distributed effectively and responsibly, identifying households individually and ensuring that aid reaches the right hands.
