Nadaun’s Sahil Sharma Becomes Flying Officer, Brings Pride to Badehra Village

Hamirpur, June 16 – Sahil Sharma, a native of the small village of Badehra in Nadaun subdivision of Hamirpur district, has brought pride to the region and the state by being commissioned as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force. The proud moment unfolded during the Passing Out Parade at the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad, witnessed by his parents, Sanjay Kumar and Neelam Sharma.
Sahil’s achievement holds special significance as he represents the third generation in his family to serve the nation. His grandfather, maternal grandfather, and father have all served in the Indian Army. His father, Sanjay Kumar, is a retired army personnel currently working as a conductor with the Himachal Road Transport Corporation, while his mother, Neelam, is a homemaker.
Celebrations broke out in Badehra as news of Sahil’s commissioning spread. Villagers expressed their pride in seeing one of their own now entrusted with guarding the skies of the nation. Sahil’s success is a testament to his hard work, discipline, and unwavering dedication.
He completed his early schooling up to Class 8 at DAV School Kangoo, followed by his higher education at Sainik School Sujanpur till Class 12. Driven by a dream to serve the nation, Sahil cleared the highly competitive NDA exam on his very first attempt. He credited his success to the unwavering support and guidance of his parents and teachers throughout his journey.
