Summer Festival 2025 to Begin in Solan: A Celebration of Culture, Cuisine, and Unity

The much-anticipated Summer Festival 2025 is set to begin in Solan on Sunday, promising a vibrant showcase of cultural diversity and unity. Organized by the Him Friends Club, this marks the 19th edition of the annual celebration — a week-long event that brings together art, tradition, and community spirit from across the nation.
Festival coordinator Vishal Verma, speaking to our correspondent, said the Him Friends Club has been hosting the festival for 19 years with the aim of creating a platform that celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage and social traditions. This year, too, artists from every corner of the country — from north to south and east to west — will present performances that embody the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
In addition to cultural performances, the festival will feature a culinary fair with food stalls offering traditional delicacies from different regions of India, allowing visitors to savor the country’s diverse flavors. An exhibition of products crafted by members of local self-help groups will also be part of the festivities, promoting women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship.
The event has something for everyone. Special entertainment zones with amusement rides and sports activities have been set up for children and youth. In a notable initiative under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, a girl who has made a significant contribution to the cause will be honored with a cash award of ₹11,000.
More than just a cultural event, Summer Festival 2025 will serve as a platform to celebrate Solan’s identity while promoting national integration and social harmony. The organizing committee has extended an open invitation to all residents to participate and help make the festival a grand success.
