Shimla, June 4:
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 12 developmental projects worth approximately ₹233.55 crore in the Dehra Assembly constituency of Kangra district. On Tuesday, he also dedicated development works worth ₹100 crore to the people of the region.

Among the key inaugurations was the Circle Office of the Jal Shakti Department in Dehra. The Chief Minister also dedicated the office building of the Superintending Engineer, Operations Circle of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL), which is expected to benefit nearly five lakh residents.

Additionally, CM Sukhu inaugurated the newly constructed administrative and academic block at Government College Dhalyara, built at a cost of ₹7.26 crore. He also opened a bridge over the Narad Khad on the Sunhet-Bassi road in Gram Panchayat Bara, built at a cost of ₹1.75 crore.

As part of his visit, the Chief Minister unveiled a statue of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan at the Dehra Bypass, constructed at a cost of ₹10 lakh. Extending his greetings to the people, he reiterated his government’s commitment to inclusive development and the welfare of all sections of society without any discrimination.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones for several major projects, including:

  • A Circuit House building in Dehra worth ₹38 crore

  • A Critical Care Unit block at the Civil Hospital Dehra, costing ₹26.82 crore

  • A multi-departmental office complex in Dehra, estimated at ₹99 crore

  • A Forest Rest House in Dehra, worth ₹4.73 crore

  • A bridge over the Dehi Khad on the Sunhet-Bassi road, costing ₹4.12 crore

  • A bridge over the Dhalyara Khad on the same route, at a cost of ₹8.77 crore

  • Water treatment plants under 24 drinking water supply schemes in the Dehra region, equipped with UV and gaseous chlorination technology, with a total investment of ₹43 crore

The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is working with dedication to ensure equitable and sustainable development across Himachal Pradesh.
