Mandi: Tempo Traveller Carrying 20 Tourists Hits Divider on Kiratpur-Manali Four-Lane
Tempo Traveller collides with divider
Mandi, May 31:
A major accident was narrowly averted on Saturday morning on the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane highway near Mandi. A Tempo Traveller carrying around 20 tourists from Delhi to Manali lost control and collided with a road divider near the Bindravani area, eventually coming to a halt after hitting an electric pole. Fortunately, all passengers escaped unharmed.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred as the vehicle exited the Pandoh tunnel. The driver stated that a large rock suddenly appeared on the road just outside the tunnel. In an attempt to avoid it, he lost control, causing the vehicle to veer into the divider.
Luckily, the vehicle came to a stop after striking an electric pole, preventing it from swerving into the oncoming lane, which could have led to a much more serious collision with fast-approaching traffic. All passengers were reported safe, and no injuries were sustained, much to everyone’s relief.
Local police arrived promptly at the scene to assess the situation. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver’s quick thinking and immediate response played a crucial role in preventing a major mishap. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
