Shimla, May 28:
In a politically charged statement, Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan claimed that several Congress ministers themselves are disillusioned with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s leadership.
Mahajan alleged that discontent within the ruling party is growing, referencing past instances of cross-voting during the Rajya Sabha elections. “Many MLAs had cross-voted before, and if given another opportunity, they’re ready to do it again,” he said.
Taking a direct swipe at the Chief Minister, Mahajan remarked, “I’ve given Sukhu such a jolt that he’ll remember me forever. Whether he remains the Chief Minister or not, this blow will stay with him.”
The statement has stirred political waters in Himachal Pradesh, signaling deeper fissures within the Congress. It is now being seen as a possible turning point in the state’s political landscape. Mahajan’s remarks suggest a growing undercurrent of dissatisfaction among party legislators, hinting at instability within the government.
All eyes are now on CM Sukhu’s response to this bold assertion from within his own party ranks.
