Auckland House School for Boys celebrated its Annual Sports Day for the senior section with great energy and enthusiasm. The event was graced by Vivek Bhatia, IAS, Special Secretary and Principal Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, who attended as the chief guest.
The day began with a grand Guard of Honour, followed by a disciplined march past by the students. A series of impressive physical displays – including dumbbell PT, yoga, lathi drills, taekwondo, and gymnastics – captivated the audience and showcased the students’ strength and coordination.
The sports competitions included a wide range of exciting events such as the skipping race, basketball trail race, flat races, baton and ball relays, skating, musical chairs, and the always-popular tug of war. Special events like teacher-student races and parent races added a joyful touch and drew enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
In his address, chief guest Vivek Bhatia encouraged students to actively participate in sports and emphasized the lifelong importance of physical activity and discipline. He noted that sports not only build physical strength but also play a vital role in character development.
Principal John remarked, “Winning isn’t everything — participation and team spirit matter the most.” He congratulated the students, teachers, and everyone involved in organizing the event for their outstanding efforts. The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners of various competitions were recognized for their achievements.
200m Race Highlights Athletic Prowess
During the Annual Sports Day 2025, the 200-meter sprint proved to be a major highlight, with students demonstrating remarkable speed and stamina.

In Group A, Rohan Sharma (House L) claimed first place, earning 9 points. Sushant Mukherjee (House F) secured second place with a strong performance, gaining 6 points, while Vatsarth Dogra (House M) came in third, scoring 3 points.

In Group B, Ayaan Bhanota (House D) led the race and earned 9 points. Rudra Dogra (House J) followed closely for second place with 6 points, and Yug Dhawan (House J) took third, securing 3 points.

In Group C, Samit Thakur (House M) stormed to first place with a powerful finish and 9 points. A joint team effort by Ayaan Rahi, Sant Yoga, Ansh, Rahul Thakur, Tushar, and Kabir (House L) earned second place and 6 points. The team of Sanyam Thakur, Arjun Rohilla, Sant Yoga, and Darshan Thakur (House F) claimed third, adding 3 points to their tally.
The event saw an electric atmosphere, with spectators cheering passionately throughout. The students demonstrated discipline, sportsmanship, and a sense of camaraderie that made the day truly memorable. The school administration extended heartfelt congratulations to all winners and participants, wishing them continued success in the future.
