Shimla, May 21:
The Himachal Pradesh High Court has reserved its verdict in the high-profile Vimal Negi case. The hearing took place in the court of Justice Ajay Mohan Goel, and the final judgment is scheduled to be delivered on May 23.

During the proceedings, contradictions were noted between the status reports filed by the SIT and the Director General of Police (DGP), raising serious questions about the integrity of the investigation. The High Court has taken cognizance of these discrepancies.

After hearing arguments from all sides, the court reserved its verdict. Advocate R.K. Bawa, representing Vimal Negi’s wife, alleged tampering with facts in the case and highlighted inconsistencies in the police investigations. He reiterated the family’s demand for a CBI inquiry, citing a lack of confidence in the current probe.
