Mandi, May 20:
A tragic and shocking incident unfolded in Nehra village of Syang panchayat under Mandi’s Sadar police station, where a man accidentally lost his life while trying to chase away monkeys from his fields. The victim, 43-year-old Khoob Ram, died on the spot after a gun he was loading accidentally discharged, striking him in the face.
According to initial reports, Khoob Ram, son of Shobha Ram, was attempting to load his father’s firearm on Sunday afternoon to scare away a group of monkeys that had been damaging crops.
