27 HAS Officers Transferred in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday; G.S. Negi Appointed HPU Registrar

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government has transferred and appointed 27 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers to various key positions, including SDMs, project officers, and other senior roles. Notably, the orders were issued on a Sunday by the state’s Chief Secretary, indicating the urgency and importance of the reassignments.

According to the official notification:

  • Naresh Thakur, Secretary, State Transport Authority-cum-Additional Commissioner Transport, has been posted as Director (Personnel & Finance), HP Power Corporation Limited, Shimla.

  • Nishant Thakur, Additional Secretary (Education), has been appointed as Project Director, SDMF Unit, Revenue-DMC, Shimla, while retaining his current additional charge.

  • Dr. Jitendra Kumar, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed CEO of the Himachal Khadi and Village Industries Board, Shimla, relieving Prashant Sarkaik of the additional charge.

  • G.S. Negi, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been posted as Registrar of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

  • Dr. Sonia Thakur, Secretary, State Information Commission, has been given the additional charge of Additional Director, Rural Development Department.

  • Jaganath Thakur, Additional Director, Urban Development, has been appointed Managing Director of Himfed.

  • Shashi Pal Negi, currently ADC Kullu, has been posted as Registrar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University, Mandi, relieving Dr. Madan Kumar, ADM Mandi, of additional charge.

  • Sunayana Sharma, District Tourism Development Officer, Kullu, is now Assistant Commissioner in the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Mandi, replacing Kuldeep Chand Patial.

  • Ram Prasad has been appointed Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Hamirpur.

  • Chetna Khadwal, previously awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary, State Information Commission, Himachal Pradesh.

  • Vikas Shukla, SDM Kullu, has been transferred to Sujanpur, Hamirpur district, replacing Sanjeet Singh.

  • Dr. Bhawna has been appointed Additional Director in the Department of Empowerment of SCs, OBCs, Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities.

  • Pankaj Sharma-II, SDM Banjar, has been transferred to SDM Kafota, Sirmaur district.

  • Harsh Amarendra Singh, previously Joint Director in the Empowerment Department, will now serve as SDM, Rampur.

  • Sanjay Kumar, General Manager, Skill Development Corporation, has been posted as Assistant Settlement Officer, Shimla.

  • Pradeep Kumar, awaiting posting, has been appointed Assistant Settlement Officer, Dharamshala, Kangra.

  • Nishant Tomar moves from SDM Rampur to SDM Banjar, Kullu.

  • Sankalp Gautam, ADC Lahaul-Spiti, has been appointed SDM, Baijnath, Mandi.

  • Devi Chand, SDM Baijnath, has been transferred to the DC Office, Shimla, as Assistant Commissioner.

  • Manoj Kumar-III has been transferred from Udaipur, Lahaul-Spiti to Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Una.

  • Dr. Sanjay Bhagwati has been posted as Joint Director, Urban Development Department, after serving as Tourism Development Officer, Shimla.

  • Sanjeev Kumar-III, previously transferred to SDM Bharmaur, will now serve as Under Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office.

  • Alisha Chauhan, awaiting posting, has been appointed SDM, Udaipur, Lahaul-Spiti.

  • Jagdish Sharma has been appointed Tourism Development Officer, Shimla.

Additionally, the government has entrusted Dr. Harish Gajju with another key responsibility. Currently serving as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister and holding additional charge as Director (Industries) and Controller (Warehousing), he has now also been appointed Managing Director of the HP Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, Shimla.

These orders take immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice, in the interest of public service.
