Pakistan Rattled by ‘Operation Sindoor’; Launches 400 Drones, Attempts Infiltration at 36 Locations

New Delhi, May 9: Shaken by the success of India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, Pakistan has once again resorted to desperate tactics. In a press conference held on Thursday by the Ministry of External Affairs, top officials from the Indian Army and Foreign Ministry exposed Pakistan’s latest hostile moves.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sophia Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh briefed the media on Pakistan’s coordinated infiltration attempts and attacks carried out on the night of May 8–9.

Colonel Qureshi revealed that under the cover of darkness, the Pakistan Army targeted Indian military installations across 36 locations in a large-scale infiltration bid. Between 300 and 400 drones were deployed in the operation, many of which, according to initial investigations, were manufactured in Türkiye.

Despite the escalation and the possibility of an Indian counter-strike, Pakistan did not shut down its civilian airspace—a move Indian officials say was likely aimed at using civilian air traffic as a shield.

The incident underscores the gravity of the situation along the India-Pakistan border, even as Indian forces remain on high alert.
