48-Year-Old Woman Arrested in Himachal for Sharing Anti-India Content on Facebook

Kandaghat, May 8: A 48-year-old woman has been arrested in the Kandaghat area for allegedly sharing objectionable and anti-national content on Facebook. According to reports, a local resident filed a complaint at the Kandaghat police station, alleging that the woman, who runs a tailoring business in the area, posted material on her Facebook profile that was provocative, anti-national, and offensive to both the Indian Army and the general public.

The complaint further stated that such posts have the potential to incite unrest and create tension in society.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and identified the woman as a resident of Kandaghat post office and tehsil area in Solan district. She had reportedly been living in a rented room in Kandaghat for the past 25 to 30 years.

The woman has been taken into custody, and the mobile phone used to share the content has been seized. She is being presented in court today. Police said that both legal and technical analyses of the content are underway, and further investigation is in progress.
