Kala Amb: Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Three Youths, Two Referred to PGI
Shimla, April 30: In a devastating road accident near the campus of the Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions on the Himachal-Haryana border, three young men from Himachal Pradesh lost their lives on the spot late last night, while two others are battling for life at PGI Chandigarh.
The horrific collision took place around 11 PM near a petrol pump on the Kala Amb–Sadhaura road. Disturbing visuals from the scene highlight the sheer intensity of the crash.
According to initial reports, a car (bearing HP85 1824 registration) from Shillai collided with a trailer truck. All five occupants of the vehicle were young men. Three of them died at the scene, while the remaining two sustained critical injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Aniket, son of Jagat Singh, a resident of Shillai, and two others — Vishal and Atul — from Chamba district. The injured, Praveen and Pyar Singh, were rushed to Jagadhri Hospital and later referred to PGI Chandigarh due to the severity of their condition.
Upon receiving information, Sadhaura police quickly arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations. Preliminary investigations suggest that the victims, who were reportedly working at a company in Kala Amb, were on a late-night errand when their car collided head-on with an oncoming trailer.
The Sadhaura Police Station in-charge confirmed the death of three individuals in the accident and informed that an FIR has been lodged. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
