UPSC 2024 Result: Prayagraj’s Shakti Dubey Tops the Exam, Seven Years of Dedication Pays Off

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2024. This year, Shakti Dubey from Prayagraj has secured the top rank, making her city and the nation proud.
Shakti holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Allahabad University and completed her MSc in Biochemistry from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). She began preparing for the civil services exam in 2018, shortly after her post-graduation. After seven years of relentless effort and perseverance, her hard work has finally borne fruit. She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family, friends, and teachers.
Shakti opted for Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject. While she was confident of clearing the exam, securing the All India Rank 1 came as a pleasant surprise, she said.
Alongside Shakti, the list of top performers includes Harshita Goyal, Dongre Archit Parag, Shah Margi Chirag, Akash Garg, Komal Poonia, Ayushi Bansal, Raj Krishna Jha, Aditya Vikram Agrawal, Mayank Tripathi, Ettaboyina Sai Shivani, Aashi Sharma, Hemant, Abhishek Vashisth, Banna Venkatesh, Madhav Agrawal, Sanskriti Trivedi, Soumya Mishra, Vibhor Bhardwaj, and Trilok Singh.
According to the official notification, the Civil Services Examination 2024 cycle will fill a total of 1,129 vacancies. These include 180 posts in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 55 in the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), 147 in the Indian Police Service (IPS), 605 in Group ‘A’ Central Services, and 142 in Group ‘B’ Services. Additionally, the Commission has prepared a reserve list of 230 candidates.
It is worth noting that the written exam was conducted in September, followed by the personality test (interview) held between January and April. The marksheets of candidates are expected to be released in about 15 days.
