Shimla, April 16: A youth died on the spot in a road accident under Baluganj police station area of ​​​​the capital Shimla. The accident took place between Ghanhatti and Banuti on Shimla-Bilaspur National Highway when a tipper (HP 63 – 6425) went out of control and fell into a ditch. This incident happened around 3 o’clock in the morning today.

According to the information received, the tipper was loaded with gravel and only the driver was riding in it. The deceased has been identified as Rahul, son of Surendra Kumar, resident of village Girab, Post Office Chayli Tehsil and District Shimla. Rahul was about 22 years old. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the team of Jatog Police Station reached the spot and took the body in possession and started further action. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. Initial investigations suggest that the tipper may have lost control due to high speed and fell into the ditch, although the exact cause can be confirmed only after a police investigation.

Rahul was the only son in his family. His sudden death has created a furore in the family and a wave of mourning has spread in the village. Baluganj police have registered a case and the cause of the accident is being thoroughly investigated.
