CM Sukhu released 3 installments of ‘Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana’ to 1926 women simultaneously
Pangi, April 15: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday released Rs 4,500 per beneficiary in three installments for the months of April, May and June to 1,926 women under the ‘Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana’ during the 78th Himachal Day celebrations held at Killar in Pangi Valley.
A total amount of Rs 86.67 lakh was distributed under this scheme. The Chief Minister announced to provide the benefit of the scheme to all the remaining eligible women of Pangi Valley on completion of necessary formalities.
The Chief Minister said that apart from women who complete the age of 21 years between January 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026, domestic helpers will also be included in this scheme.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored the government employees who provided excellent services in the area. These included JBT teacher Devi Charan from Government Primary School Findpar, JBT teacher Surinder Kumar from Government Primary School Kulal, Surgeon Dr. Vishal Sharma from Civil Hospital Killar, Principal Bhagwan Das Chauhan of Government Senior Secondary School Killar, Tehsildar Shanta Kumar of Pangi, Assistant Professor of Geography Dr. Promila Devi from Government College Pangi and SHO Joginder Singh of Pangi Police Station.
The Chief Minister felicitated the best performing police stations of the state for the year, 2024. Bilaspur Sadar Police Station, BSL Colony Police Station of Mandi district and Damtal Police Station of Kangra district were felicitated for excellence in crime control, investigation and overall performance.
The Mahila Police Station at Una was awarded as the best Mahila Police Station in Himachal Pradesh.
A cultural programme was presented during the function and the Chief Minister felicitated the contingents participating in the parade and cultural teams for their commendable performance.
