CM Sukhu to Inaugurate and Launch ₹79 Crore Projects in Pangi
14 development works including hospital, roads, schools, and solar energy unit to be unveiled during Chamba visit
Shimla, April 13:
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is set to visit Pangi valley in Chamba district, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 14 major developmental projects worth nearly ₹79 crore, giving a substantial boost to infrastructure in this remote tribal region.
During his visit, CM Sukhu will inaugurate key projects such as the ₹20.88 crore Mini Secretariat Building, ₹19.83 crore Civil Hospital at Killar, ₹5.62 crore ITI building, and ₹5.29 crore Bus Stand, among others. An alternative road for the bus stand worth ₹2.98 crore will also be opened to the public.
Multiple Sectors to Benefit from New Projects
In addition to inaugurations, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for several new projects, including:

Residential rooms for Agriculture Department at Killar – ₹3.75 crore

Additional classrooms at GHS Luj and GHS Mindhal – ₹1.5 crore each

Market yard at Killar – ₹2.13 crore

State Electricity Board Office – ₹49.42 lakh

Health Sub-Centres at Rei and Hudan – ₹1.99 crore each

1 MW Solar Power Project at Dhanwas – ₹10.51 crore
These initiatives are aimed at uplifting education, healthcare, energy, and agricultural infrastructure in one of the most geographically challenging areas of the state.
Green Push and Banking Access
As part of his tour, CM Sukhu will also inaugurate an ATM of the H.P. State Cooperative Bank at Killar and participate in a tree plantation drive at the Public Works Department Rest House.
This visit is being seen as a major outreach effort to address the developmental needs of the Pangi region and improve government connectivity in far-flung tribal belts of Himachal Pradesh.
