Mandi, April 9: Mandi parliamentary constituency MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during her visit to Kangu in the Sundernagar assembly constituency on Wednesday. Ranaut, known for her outspoken views, declared that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is deeply connected to Sanatani culture, while calling the Congress a “forgotten child of the British.”

Speaking to a large gathering, Ranaut praised the BJP’s connection to “Sanatani, cultured ideology” and sharply criticized the Congress, likening their ideology to “chor-chor mausere bhai” (thieves who are related to each other). She accused Congress leaders of gathering only with “thieves” and forming a “gang of bandits” wherever they go.

Ranaut further slammed Congress leader Alka Lamba, recalling how Lamba had made false promises to women in Himachal Pradesh before the state elections. She accused Lamba and the Congress party of being deceptive and misleading voters with lies.

Touching on her role as an MP, Ranaut emphasized the importance of a vote in the Lok Sabha, stating that even a single vote could bring down a government. She highlighted that the people of Mandi had entrusted her with significant responsibility, and she recalled her vote for the Wakf Amendment Bill as a reminder of her duty to the people. Ranaut expressed her support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and declared that, while Himachal Pradesh had given all four Lok Sabha seats to the BJP, the goal is to see the saffron flag raised across all 68 assembly seats in the state in the upcoming elections.
