HP Agro Industries Corporation Achieves Rs 94.44 Crore Turnover in Financial Year 2024-25

Shimla, April 5: HP Agro Industries Corporation Limited (HPAIC) has reported an impressive performance for the financial year 2024-25, achieving a turnover of Rs 94.44 crore. The corporation also earned a gross profit of Rs 4.90 crore and a net profit of Rs 1.64 crore (both before audit), reflecting a positive growth trajectory and sound financial health.
The announcement was made during the 261st meeting of the corporation’s Board of Directors, chaired by Jagat Singh Negi, the Minister for Horticulture, Revenue, Tribal Development, and Public Grievance Redressal. The minister commended the efforts of the corporation’s officers, praising their hard work and dedication in achieving these remarkable results. He also stressed the importance of further strengthening the corporation’s operations to benefit the farmers of the state.
In the meeting, the minister issued directions to activate the corporation-operated petrol pumps in Palampur, Nalagarh, Dharampur, and Jawalamukhi, aiming to improve their functionality and enhance service availability. Additionally, the minister approved the use of 45.65 kanal of vacant land located in Kandrori (Kangra district) for potential agricultural ventures. This land will be explored for the production and manufacturing of products made from sugarcane and oranges, which will further benefit local farmers and contribute to the state’s agro-industry.
Minister Negi emphasized the importance of preparing a detailed proposal for these projects to ensure that farmers can take full advantage of the opportunities. He also directed the corporation to move forward with the proposed merger of HPAIC with HPMC in a phased manner, subject to approval by the Corporate Ministry.
Present at the meeting were C. Palrasu, Secretary Horticulture, Kumud Singh, Director of Agriculture, Reema Kashyap, Managing Director of HPAIC, and other key officials, all of whom contributed to discussions on enhancing the corporation’s role in promoting agricultural activities across the state.
With continued focus on expanding its operations and collaborating closely with farmers, HPAIC is set to play an increasingly vital role in Himachal Pradesh’s agro-industrial development.
