Rs 48 Crore Approved for Bhatti Nala Bridge to Ease Traffic Congestion: Neeraj Nayar
Chamba, April 1: In a significant boost to infrastructure development in the Chamba Assembly constituency, the government has approved ₹48 crore for the construction of the long-awaited bridge over Bhatti Nala. This project, part of the National Highway Chakki-Chamba-Bharmaur (NH-154A), promises to address persistent traffic congestion issues and enhance regional connectivity.
Sadar MLA Neeraj Nayar, who played a pivotal role in securing approval for this crucial project, expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh for their support. “This bridge will not only facilitate smoother traffic flow but also contribute significantly to the overall development of the area,” Nayar stated.
The planned bridge will span 180 meters, designed to support increasing vehicular movement and reduce bottlenecks that have long plagued the region. Currently, the narrow road near Bhatti Nala causes severe traffic jams, particularly during peak hours, leading to daily inconveniences for commuters.
Neeraj Nayar emphasized that the development of the Chamba Assembly constituency remains his top priority. “I am committed to the holistic growth of our region. This bridge is just one of many steps we are taking to improve infrastructure and provide better facilities to the public,” he added.
Local residents have welcomed the news, anticipating a positive change in their daily commuting experience. The new bridge is expected to not only alleviate traffic woes but also boost local businesses by enhancing accessibility and reducing travel time.
As the government moves forward with this project, the focus remains on sustainable and efficient infrastructure development to support the growing needs of the region. The Bhatti Nala bridge stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for the people of Chamba.
With strong leadership and dedicated efforts from local representatives like Neeraj Nayar, the future of Chamba’s infrastructure looks promising.
