Shimla, March 29: The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPSSC), Hamirpur, has issued important instructions for 148 selected candidates whose appointment has been recommended for Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) under post code-939. These candidates have been asked to report to the Commission’s office in Hamirpur on April 5, 2025, at 10 AM to complete the next steps in the recruitment process.

Reporting Instructions for Selected Candidates

A spokesperson for the Commission clarified that the purpose of calling the selected candidates is to allow them to submit their preferences for the concerned departments, boards, and corporations where they are to be posted. Candidates are expected to choose their preferred departments or locations during this visit.

The Commission has made it clear that failure to report and provide the required option on the designated date will be considered as unwillingness to accept the appointment, and the candidate’s name will be removed from the list of recommended candidates.

The list of selected candidates has been published on the official HPSSSB website, where the individuals can verify their status. In addition, candidates have been informed through their registered e-mail addresses and mobile numbers.

Withdrawal and Re-Advertisement of Junior Office Assistant Posts

In a related development, the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission has withdrawn its previous advertisement for the recruitment of 319 Junior Office Assistant (JOA) posts under post code-965. This decision follows administrative reasons and affects the recruitment for contract-based positions in various departments, boards, and corporations across the state. The advertisement for these posts was initially issued on May 27, 2022, under advertisement number 38-2/2022.

Dr. Vikram Mahajan, Secretary of the HPSSC, confirmed that due to the receipt of recommendations for new posts from various departments, the 319 JOA posts will now be re-advertised with the inclusion of additional positions. As a result, the Commission will issue a fresh advertisement soon, which will include the updated number of available posts.

Refund of Application Fees

Dr. Mahajan also announced that the application fees submitted by candidates in 2022 will be refunded due to the withdrawal of the original advertisement. Once the re-advertised recruitment notification is released, interested candidates will be required to reapply for the posts. The reissued advertisement will include updated instructions for the application process.

This decision has prompted the Commission to ensure that the recruitment process is transparent and in line with the current needs of various state departments and corporations. The new advertisement is expected to include a revised list of requirements, and candidates who had previously applied are advised to stay alert for the re-release of the recruitment details.

These updates from the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission mark important developments for candidates seeking positions in HPSEBL and for those interested in the Junior Office Assistant positions. While the re-issuance of the advertisement for JOA posts may have caused some inconvenience to candidates who had already applied, the Commission has assured that the process will be handled efficiently and transparently.

Candidates are advised to carefully follow the guidelines and deadlines provided by the HPSSC to ensure their eligibility for the positions. Further details regarding the re-advertised posts and the refund process will be available on the official HPSSC website and communicated to candidates through their registered contact information.
