Shimla, 26th March The weather in Himachal Pradesh is set to take a turn for the worse over the next two days, with the Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert due to the active Western Disturbance affecting the state.

The weather forecast predicts snowfall in some areas of Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti districts, where the snowfall could continue for the next two days. These regions are expected to experience chilly conditions, with snow accumulation potentially disrupting local travel and daily activities.

In addition to snowfall, the Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for strong storms and lightning in several districts, including Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, and Mandi. The public is advised to take precautions, as these weather conditions could lead to dangerous situations, particularly in hilly and exposed areas.

The department has urged residents and travelers to stay informed about the latest weather updates, as sudden changes in conditions may cause disruptions. Authorities have also advised people to avoid venturing into high-altitude areas during this period, where the risk of snowfall and other weather-related hazards may be heightened.

This weather disturbance is expected to subside by the end of the 27th of March, after which conditions are likely to improve. However, locals are advised to stay prepared for any changes in the weather and follow safety measures accordingly.
