Solan, March 26 — In a significant move to improve healthcare accessibility, UCO Bank has donated a mobile X-ray machine worth Rs 26 lakh to the Health Department of Solan district. This donation, made under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, will play a pivotal role in the timely identification of tuberculosis (TB) and other serious health conditions, especially in remote areas.
The donation was made during the TB Free Panchayat Samman Samaroh held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Solan, coinciding with the observance of Tuberculosis Day. The mobile X-ray machine was officially handed over to the Health Department by Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma. The ceremony saw the presence of several dignitaries, including CMO Solan Dr. Amit Ranjan, Chief Manager of UCO Bank Solan Nidhi Sharma, and various Panchayat representatives.
