Another Shootout in Himachal: Bike Riders Shoot Dhaba Owner, Loot Cash in Mandi District
Mandi, March 22 – The atmosphere in Himachal Pradesh has grown increasingly tense following a series of shooting incidents, the latest of which took place in the Pulgharat area near Mandi city. In a shocking turn of events, two bike riders shot a local Dhaba owner and fled the scene with cash. Without warning, the suspects opened fire on the Dhaba owner, striking him in the cheek and hand. The bullet wounds left the owner injured but conscious. After the attack, the gunmen proceeded to rob the Dhaba, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The injured victim was immediately rushed to the Medical College Nerchowk for treatment, where he is currently receiving medical care.

Mandi’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Sakshi Verma, confirmed the incident and assured the public that the police were working diligently to apprehend the suspects. “We have not yet identified the attackers, but we are thoroughly examining the CCTV footage from the surrounding areas,” said SP Verma. “We are confident that the culprits will be caught soon.”
The shooting has stirred anxiety in the community, especially as it follows closely on the heels of another recent shooting incident involving Congress leader and former MLA Bamber Thakur, and his personal security officer (PSO).
