Two youths who went to take bath in Bilaspur on Holi day died of drowning
Bilaspur, March 14: Jumbling up with colours of Holi, a heartbreaking news has surfaced from Jhanduta subdivision of Himachal Pradesh. Two youths lost their lives due to drowning near Piplughat of Sir Khad, following which an atmosphere of mourning spread in the entire area. On receiving the incident information, a team of Jhanduta Police Station reached the spot instantly under the leadership of inspector Ashwani Kumar. The youths were pulled out and local people helped, but they had already died by then.
ASI Ravindra Kumar Sandhu of Jhanduta Police Station said the deceased have been identified as Ashwani Kumar (34), son of Vidhi Chand, resident of village Kuthera, Tehsil Jhanduta and Gopal Mani (15) son of Krishna Dev, resident of village Mohi, Tehsil Jhanduta.
Preliminary investigation had found that the two had gone for a bath in Sir Khad after celebrating Holi. Both were swept away because the water was running fast and they could not judge the depth. The bodies have been taken into custody by the police and further investigation has been initiated. The whole area is mourning over this tragic incident.
