Himachal Pradesh Departmental Examination Board Exam Schedule 2025
Shimla, 10 March 2025: A notification has been issued by the Himachal Pradesh Departmental Examination Board regarding the Date Sheet of for the Departmental Examination. The exams will be conducted from May 27 to June 4, 2025, Secretary Dinesh Kumar Sharma said.
The online application process for the candidates who want to appear in the examinations will be started on Manav Sampada portal from March 11, 2025. The application period closes on April 10, 2025. But applications only count after being approved by the relevant department heads. The applications must be approved by heads of departments by April 22, 2025. From this date onwards, the application window will close automatically for the respective departments.

Examinations will take place from May 27 to June 4, 2025, at the Government College Sanjauli in Shimla. However for such candidates Paper No. 1 “Financial Administration” would also be conducted in Dharamshala besides Shimla.
However, it should be noted that exam dates are subject to change due to unforeseeable circumstances, so candidates are advised to regularly check the official website of the examination for any changes in the timetable.
Various categories of public servants like IAS/HAS/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar/Indian Forest Service/Himachal Pradesh Forest Service etc. are eligible for this departmental examination. In addition, the exam is for all remaining gazetted officers and eligible non-gazetted officers, including Superintendent Class-2, Senior Assistants, technical and non-technical employees and Excise and Taxation Inspectors.
The exam is also open for recruitment of officers and eligible employees of the Transport Department, Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, Himachal Pradesh State Tourism Department and Departmental Kanungo for Patwaris in Revenue Department.
