Three Dead As Car Falls Into Ditch On Chamba-Pathankot Highway
Chamba, March 09, 2025 — A head-on collision took place on the Chamba-Pathankot National Highway at Keru Hill, Naini Khad, on Sunday afternoon and claimed the lives of three people. The out of control vehicle lost its balance and fell into a deep ditch causing three people to die on the spot. Three others were seriously injured and are fighting for their lives.
The deceased have been identified as Vidya Devi (Joginder Pal’s wife), 13-year-old Manu and Mahindra Kumar. All were residents of the Kathua district of Jammu. Under yet-to-be-determined circumstances, the vehicle that was driving on the highway, went off the road and then descended in a ditch.
After the accident, the hospitalized victims were hospitalized in the nearest hospital, where they are said to be critical. Their names have not been released. The full extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed by the authorities, though their conditions are serious.
Local police are investigating the cause of the accident, but initial investigations indicate that it was caused by the car getting out of control. Authorities are investigating the vehicle’s condition, that of the road and any other potential outside factors that may have led to the crash.
