963 Questions to be Raised in Himachal Assembly Budget Session Begining March 10

Shimla, March 07: The budget session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly would begin on March 10 at 2 pm with the Governor’s address. Known as Budget Session, this session will continue till March 28 and is likely to be the active one with a total of 963 questions scheduled to be raised in the House. Of these, 737 are questions to be starred, and 226 will be asked in starred form.
Addressing the media here, the Assembly Speaker, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, announced the agenda of the session. He also announced that the Governor’s address will be discussed from March 11 to 13 and that the Chief Minister will present the state budget on March 17. There will also be non-official sessions on March 22 and 27, after the budget for the financial year 2025-26 will be passed on March 26.
According to the Speaker, the assembly has already received 9 notices under rule 62, 5 under rule 101 and 10 under rule 130.
In order to ensure smooth proceedings, an all party meeting has been called on March 9 and both the ruling and opposition party have been urged to hold constructive discussions in the House.
While responding to a question regarding the conduct of ten BJP MLAs in the budget session last year, the Speaker said the matter still remains before the House. The question will be decided in good time.
Himachal Pradesh Assembly will have a budget session and, with a wide range of questions, and key legislative aspects on the agenda, the state assembly will do its best to follow the agenda.
