SDM Sujanpur Transferred, SDM Dr. Rohit Sharma appointed joint director of Manali Mountaineering Institute
Shimla, March 05: Himachal Pradesh state government transferred Rohit Sharma, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sujanpur. The transfer took place with the notification signed by the Chief Secretary of the state Prabhodh Saxena.
According to the notification, Rohit Sharma, a 2019 batch HAS officer, who was earlier serving as SDM of Sujanpur in district Hamirpur has now been posted as the Joint Director of the prestigious Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute at Manali in district Kullu. In his place, the 2020 batch HAS officer Raman Kumar Sharma will be relieved from this duty, to take over this new position.
Also, the state government has given the extra charge of SDM of Sujanpur to Sanjeet Singh who is serving as the SDM of Hamirpur (HAS: 2020 batch). Effective immediately, Singh will now pull on both hats. The changes specified in the transfer order will continue to be in effect until ordered otherwise.
These new posts come as a part of the continuing efforts by the state to tighten bureaucracy and place experienced officers in key posts making essential institutions like that of the Mountaineering Institute functional and effective.
