Dharamshala, 16 February: Residents of several areas in Dharamshala will experience a temporary power cut on 16th February (Sunday). This power disruption is due to essential maintenance and cabling work being carried out on the power lines under the 11 KV Education Feeder.

According to Ramesh Chand, Assistant Engineer of the Electricity Sub Division-2, the affected areas will include Chelian, Degree College, Stadium Road, Guleria Mohalla, Jawahar Nagar, and other neighboring areas. The power cut will take place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. However, if the maintenance work is completed earlier, power will be restored before the scheduled time.

The maintenance and cabling work are crucial for ensuring a stable and efficient power supply to these areas in the future. These kinds of maintenance activities are necessary to upgrade the existing infrastructure and prevent technical issues that could lead to frequent power interruptions.

In a statement, Ramesh Chand urged residents to cooperate with the maintenance work and plan accordingly for the power cut. He requested people to make arrangements for alternative power sources, particularly for those who rely on electricity for essential needs.

The power supply will be restored once the maintenance and cabling work are completed. The electricity department has assured that they will work as efficiently as possible to minimize any inconvenience to the public.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed and make any necessary adjustments in their schedules to ensure that they are not significantly impacted by the power outage. The electricity department appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the people in these affected areas.
