Shimla: Tourism workshop caught in forest fire, tyres burnt to ashes
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet, but according to initial information, it was a forest fire that spread rapidly and reached the workshop.
Shimla, February 13: The forest fire in Shimla city took a horrific form and engulfed the tourism workshop located at Old Barrier. According to the information, tyres and other items kept in the workshop have been burnt to ashes in the flames. The fire department teams are continuously trying to control the fire. This incident of fire took place late Thursday evening.
To control the fire, two fire engines from Baluganj fire station and one from Mall Road fire station have been sent to the spot.
The firemen have taken swift action and intensified efforts to control the fire.
Gopal, in-charge of Baluganj fire station, is himself present at the spot and is monitoring the relief and rescue work.
He said that efforts are on to control the fire and the situation will be brought under control soon.
