64 flights every week from Gaggal airport: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol
Kangra, February 12: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol informed the Parliament that currently 64 flights (commuting) are being recorded every week from Gaggal airport in Kangra district.
He informed that Indigo, Alliance Air and SpiceJet airlines are providing air services to Delhi, Shimla and Chandigarh.
Indian aviation sector is now completely independent
In response to the question of Rajya Sabha MP Ms. Indu Bala Goswami, the minister said that after the repeal of the Air Corporation Act in March 1994, the Indian domestic aviation sector has been completely deregulated.
Now airlines can independently select their market and route, add new aircraft and take decisions on operations. Airlines take the decision to start new air service from any airport on the basis of commercial viability.
