Security Forces Bust Militant Hideout in Manipur, Recover Huge Cache of Weapons
Security forces conducted a major operation by destroying a militant hideout that existed between the border areas of Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts in Manipur. Bishnupur police commandos together with Nambol police alongside 33 Assam Rifles and 8th Battalion CRPF launched their operation at Aigejang foothills under Nambol police station based on received intelligence information.Â
Security personnel found a substantial amount of weapons and ammunition together with explosives during the operation. The seized property consisted of rifles together with pistols and hand grenades along with mortar shells and stun grenades and tear gas shells as well as multiple warlike supplies.Â
The operation successfully stopped insurgent activities in the area because the militants escaped without anyone getting arrested. Security personnel work actively to preserve peace together with stability throughout the region.Â
