Like Delhi, people in Himachal are also unhappy with ‘AAPda govt’, Jairam Thakur accused of grabbing power with false guarantees
Mandi, 09 February: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, while targeting the Sukhu government of the state on the pretext of Delhi Assembly election results, said that just like the people in Delhi rejected the AAP government, the people in Himachal are also dissatisfied with the government. He said that neither new development works are being started in the state nor the works of the previous government are being taken forward.
Accusing the government of financial mismanagement, he said that loans are being taken every month, but it is not visible where it is being used. He claimed that the Congress government, which came to power on the basis of false guarantees before the elections, has not been able to fulfill even a single guarantee even after two years. In Delhi also, the Aam Aadmi Party government misled the people with false guarantees, but the people rejected it in the elections and put the BJP in power by showing faith in the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Development eclipsed in Mandi
The Leader of Opposition, alleging that development work in Mandi district has come to a standstill, said that Mandi district, which has 10 assembly constituencies, is being completely ignored. The condition of Nerchowk Medical College is getting worse, but neither the Health Minister called a meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti nor the Chief Minister took any notice. Health services in rural areas have collapsed. He said that the Public Works Department, Electricity Board, Agriculture and Horticulture Department are gasping for breath without budget. Farmers are not getting seeds, fertilizers and tools on subsidy on time. The government treasury has been stalled for four months and crores of rupees are pending with the contractors. When the contractors expressed their anger, the Chief Minister had to say in Bilaspur that all the pending amount will be released in a week. These circumstances are not normal.
The financial crisis in the state has deepened continuously due to the Chief Minister’s stubbornness to change the system. Neither development work is progressing nor the government is able to start new work. Now the Chief Minister has stopped going to the assembly constituencies. He said that this kind of neglect will not be tolerated. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu is doing the politics of discrimination. He alleged that the budget received in the areas of BJP MLAs from the schemes of the Central Government is being diverted to the areas of Congress MLAs.
Congratulations to Sawan Barwal who created a national record
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur congratulated Sawan Barwal of Jogindernagar for winning the gold medal by creating a new national record in the 10,000 meter race in the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand. He said that this achievement of Sawan will bring glory to Himachal at the national level. He said that this success of Sawan will also inspire the coming generations. This is the result of his hard work, dedication and unwavering faith. Jairam Thakur also expressed his gratitude to his parents, coaches and colleagues and wished him a bright future.
