Mizoram Invites You: Explore GI Products & Skilled Workforce
Lalnghinglova Hmar, Mizoram’s Minister of State for Labor, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has encouraged investors to investigate the state’s thriving economic environment. Speaking in Chennai at the North East Investors Summit, he emphasized Mizoram’s potential for economic expansion, especially in the fields of horticulture and agriculture. Due to their high market demand, the state government helps farmers by buying broom grass, ginger, chile, and turmeric.
Hmar urged investors to take advantage of the market value of Mizoram’s Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged products, such as Mizo chili and ginger variants Thîngpui and Thînglaidum. Highlighting the state’s athletic talent, he also urged partnerships in the development of sports infrastructure and bamboo-based enterprises.
Mizoram is a great place for investors because of its highly qualified and employable workforce, particularly in the hospitality industry. DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia reaffirmed the central government’s support during the meeting, which focused on the region’s unrealized potential.
