All About Mountain Story: Café-Cum-Restaurant
Kangana Ranaut is turning her childhood dream into reality with the opening of The Mountain Story, a café nestled in the serene embrace of the Himalayas. Designed by renowned architect Shabnam Gupta, who previously collaborated with Kangana on her Mumbai and Manali properties, the café is set to open its doors on February 14. This charming yet modern establishment is located amidst breathtaking mountain views, combining the beauty of nature with a touch of contemporary elegance.
The multi-story café is built using wood and stone, showcasing the rich local craftsmanship. Its design blends a rustic-bohemian aesthetic with sophisticated elements, featuring a welcoming lobby complete with a large chandelier. The open, relaxed atmosphere offers ample seating options both indoors and outdoors, with large windows framing spectacular mountain views. Natural light pours in, transforming the space throughout the day and creating a peaceful ambiance.
The interior design of the café is characterized by high ceilings that enhance its spacious feel, while the muted brown and grey color palette adds warmth to the surroundings. Natural materials, including wood and stone, cover the floors, ceilings, and walls, further contributing to the cozy atmosphere. Vibrant accents in shades of green, blue, white, and red inject a Bohemian flair, bringing a lively touch to the design.
For Kangana, The Mountain Story is a “love story,” where the rugged beauty of the Himalayas is fused with the warmth and love of its people. The concept and design reflect her vision of creating a peaceful retreat that offers a serene escape from the fast-paced life of the city. The Mountain Story is not just a café but a heartfelt tribute to the rich culture, natural beauty, and spirit of the Himalayas.
Set to open on February 14, The Mountain Story promises to be the perfect blend of nature, hospitality, and culinary delights—an experience that will leave visitors with lasting memories of the Himalayan magic.
