Kullu: 440 houses for disaster-affected people are ready under PM Awas Yojana

Kullu, January 28: Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the dream of having a pucca house for the disaster affected families of the year 2023-24 in Kullu district has come true.

Under the PM Awas Yojana in Kullu district, 636 houses were approved for house construction, out of which 440 houses of the affected families have been prepared while the construction work of the remaining 196 houses is in progress.

Dr. Jay Banti Thakur, Deputy Director and Project Officer, DRDO, Kullu said that the Central Government has given the benefit of one lakh thirty thousand rupees for house construction to the disaster affected families.

She said that in Kullu district, the first installment for house construction was released to 636 disaster affected families, due to which 440 houses have been prepared.

She said that the pace of house construction of disaster affected families in Kullu district is second in the state.
