Bus carrying pilgrims from Himachal to Maha Kumbh collides with hydra, 25 injured
Solan, January 28: A bus carrying pilgrims from Arki subdivision of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh collided with a hydra on Monday evening at Kanwar near Kaushambi-Fatehpur border of Uttar Pradesh.
The accident occurred when the hydra driver suddenly applied brakes, due to which the bus driver lost control and the bus collided directly with the hydra. 25 pilgrims were injured in the accident, out of which the condition of a woman is said to be critical. The injured were pulled out with the help of local people and police. With the help of six ambulances, they were taken to Sirathu CHC, from where 10 were referred to medical college. The treatment of the seriously injured woman is going on in the medical college.
According to the information, this bus was going to Prayagraj for bathing on Mauni Amavasya with 32 devotees from Slat village of Arki police station area of ​​​​Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. As soon as the news of the accident was received, local DM Madhusudan Hulgi, SP Brijesh Srivastava and other administrative officials reached the spot. The administration made arrangements for the treatment and accommodation of the injured. CMO Dr. Sanjay Kumar alerted the teams of hospitals and ensured treatment. After the accident, the disrupted traffic on the highway was restored with the help of a crane.
The injured include Babita, Neela Devi, Chandrakala, Parvati, Sita Devi, Kavita, Vimala Devi, Mamta Sharma, Baburam, Tulsiram and others. With the prompt action of the administration and the help of the local people, the injured could get timely treatment, which averted major damage.
